Donating a car is one of the easiest ways to support Chabad and enjoy added tax benefits. Whether you are planning to purchase a new vehicle and want to maximize the value of your previous one, or you no longer need as many cars as you own, donating a vehicle to Chabad could mean a tax deduction for it's full value, which saves you from adverse market trends and greedy dealerships.

Real Estate Donation

In today’s real estate market, many people find themselves owning property that they no longer wish to own, but can not sell at full market value.  Donating this real estate to Chabad affords you the opportunity to get the full appreciated value of the property, and the satisfaction of knowing that it is being used to help the Jewish Community.

Appreciated Stocks & Securities

Due to the shifts in the market over the past year you may have appreciated stock. Donating (transferring) the appreciated stock directly to Chabad of Cape Cod helps you avoid capital gains tax while getting you a donation credit at 100% of the stock value.

Life Insurance

A charitable gift of life insurance is an innovative way to provide a highly leveraged endowment to Chabad of Cape Cod . There are several ways to gift life insurance. You may contribute a new or existing policy by transferring the policy to Chabad of Cape Cod and naming the Center as owner and beneficiary. There are substantial benefits to both you and the Center. The premium payments will provide you with an income tax deduction. The endowed gift to the Center will be substantially larger than the amount used to fund the insurance policy. The insurance policy proceeds pass directly to the Center outside your estate and are not subject to probate or estate taxation. Therefore, your estate will be undiminished by the gift. You may wish to add Chabad of Cape Cod to an existing policy as a remainder beneficiary or you can utilize the values in an existing policy to fund a more highly leveraged one. Since life insurance premiums are based or mortality rates, gifts of life insurance are extremely affordable for younger donors, affording them the opportunity to make sizable gifts.

Bequests are a major source of funds for Chabad.  Your testamentary charitable bequest ensures that your support of Chabad will continue in perpetuity.  This type of donation helps your family mitigate estate taxes and ensures your legacy as a member of the Jewish community.
